On October 15, Huawei held a press conference titled "Connecting Everything with Optical Networks, Enabling an Intelligent Future" at the National Convention Center. Zhou Jun, President of Huawei's Access Network Product Line, gave a detailed explanation of the "Intelligent Distributed Access Network" solution.
At present, four major changes are taking place in the broadband field: bandwidth has increased from 100M to 1G, non-real-time weak interaction has changed to real-time strong interaction, network construction has changed from extensive investment to fine operation, and static and imperceptible has changed to dynamic intelligence. F5G (fifth-generation fixed network) has transformed the network's bandwidth dividend into an experience dividend, and the network has gradually entered the era of intelligent true gigabit. At this stage of development, the three key challenges of true gigabit experience, precise operation, and flexible planning need to be solved in order to truly implement high-quality broadband services. Zhou Jun pointed out: "The intelligent true gigabit era calls for a new generation of network architecture. It needs to have business-network collaboration in the cloud, computing-network collaboration at the edge, and device-network collaboration at the terminal, while creating a new access network with second-level perception, edge AI computing power, and elastic connectivity." Based on this, Huawei launched the intelligent distributed access network solution. Through end-to-end solution innovations such as distributed AI computing power, distributed slicing in the cloud, and distributed elastic clusters, it provides operators with three intelligent capabilities: Intelligent True Gigabit achieves true Gigabit for the whole house and real-time optimal experience: FTTR achieves true Gigabit coverage of fiber to the room, completely solving the ultimate problem of whole-house Wi-Fi coverage. Differentiated bearer solutions based on AI business identification and acceleration realize customized broadband services based on scenarios. Intelligent and precise operation realizes precise and proactive network operation: AI and big data technologies are used to accurately identify users with poor quality and automatically analyze and locate the root cause, realizing the transition from no perception to intelligent perception of the network. It helps operators formulate precise fault location and resolution processes and potential customer precision marketing strategies to enable intelligent operation. Intelligent elastic planning enables precise and elastic network planning: data collection in seconds, perception of traffic trends from average bandwidth to peak bandwidth, and provision of massive traffic peak-to-average ratio big data to support automatic learning of expansion thresholds, helping operators adopt intelligent elastic planning methods for existing network evaluation, traffic prediction, and precise planning to achieve predictive expansion and improve broadband experience. Zhou Jun finally emphasized, "The era of intelligent true gigabit is accelerating, and the demand for experience is endless. Huawei's intelligent distributed access network solution will help operators build a true gigabit high-quality broadband network for the next decade, achieve a comprehensive upgrade and transformation from bandwidth management to experience management, and achieve greater business success." |
