At the summit, Liu Kang, President of Huawei Cloud Core Network Product Line, delivered a keynote speech, in which he elaborated on the cloud transformation, 5G core network evolution, and 5G business development in the 5G scale construction stage. Cloudification is the foundation of 5G, and 5G brings new opportunities to the core network. The industry should work together to focus on business innovation, change technology-driven to business-driven, seize the historical opportunity of 5G industry development, and quickly build a minimalist, reliable, and agile cloud core network to lay a solid foundation for the rapid development of 5G.

From the perspective of 5G standards, network construction and terminals, the 5G SA industry chain has matured. Operators should start from the end and build a 2G/3G/4G/5G NSA/5G SA 5G fully integrated core network in one step to enable rapid 5G introduction, extremely simple network architecture and optimal user experience. At the same time, based on the Single Voice Core five-network integration solution, the audio and video network can be extremely simple, operation and maintenance can be extremely simple, and the experience can be optimal under the long-term coexistence of 2G/3G/4G/5G and fixed-line voice.

No slicing, no ToB. Network slicing can bring private network experience to industry customers and ensure the certainty and availability of differentiated connections. Operators can first use core network slicing to meet user service isolation and self-management requirements, achieve E2E SLA monitoring and closed loop, seize the first wave of market value of 5G ToB commercial use, and gradually move towards wide-area scenarios and end-to-end network slicing.

MEC is a key capability of 5G and a powerful tool for the digital transformation of the industry. Its essence is connection + computing. Sites are the core assets of operators, and connection is the unique advantage of operators. Based on differentiated edge location + connection capabilities, operators can continuously strengthen connections, extend computing, integrate network capabilities into MEC, and gradually build a self-centered strict selection ecosystem, cloud-network collaboration, and maximize edge value.

We are always taking action to fulfill our promises. Huawei is willing to work with global operators to build 5G deterministic networks, promote industry consensus, build an industry ecosystem, and achieve 5G commercial success.
