Guangdong Mobile

It is reported that after the outbreak of the epidemic, the Provincial Health Commission proposed the demand for 5G coverage of relevant key areas to the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. Guangdong Mobile took the lead in responding, forming a cross-departmental joint task force, quickly deploying manpower and resources, formulating a 5G network coverage plan, and quickly carrying out coverage construction to support the emergency command, medical treatment, expert consultation and other network needs of various units.

Guangdong Mobile plans to build 67 5G outdoor macro base stations and 39 indoor distributed base stations on the basis of the existing network in 22 epidemic prevention and control headquarters and 30 provincial designated hospitals. According to Guangdong Mobile, the 5G construction work has received strong support from local health bureaus and hospitals. Some areas can quickly achieve 5G coverage by upgrading 5G equipment based on the original 4G sites, while others need to choose new sites for construction. It is expected that by February 10, the 5G indoor distributed base stations of all designated hospitals will also be fully deployed, and by then, high-quality 5G coverage will be achieved in all regions, providing highly reliable network support for innovative applications such as 5G remote diagnosis and treatment.

In the face of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, Fuzhou City launched the first-level response measures for public health emergencies and started the construction of the infectious ward project of Fuqing City Hospital. The first phase was delivered and put into use before February 2. In addition, the quarantine area of ​​Fuqing City Hospital was actively and intensively constructed around the clock. Fuzhou Unicom and Huawei worked closely and coordinated to set up a special emergency working group at the first time to fully support the construction and guarantee of emergency networks. The 3/4G network coverage assessment was completed at the first time, and 3 4G base stations were urgently expanded. The first round of outdoor signal assessment tests has been completed, and the 3/4G signals in the area have been fully covered. At the same time, in order to further improve network guarantee, Fujian Unicom is carrying out the construction of the hospital's 5G network, completing the 5G network opening as quickly as possible, and fully supporting 5G applications such as telemedicine.

On February 2, the major anti-epidemic project, the Vulcan Mountain Infectious Disease Hospital, was fully delivered. China Telecom completed the construction of the hospital's information system on February 1, bringing the Vulcan Mountain Hospital to life. China Telecom provided a package of services including program planning, communication facility construction and maintenance, major guarantees, and emergency communications. Before the official delivery, China Telecom fully completed the construction of the hospital's fixed-line, optical fiber, 4G and 5G network coverage, medical cloud, remote consultation and other information systems, providing a full range of information guarantees for the timely delivery of the Vulcan Mountain Hospital with 5G+ cloud network integration.

Following the successful model of the information system of Vulcan Mountain Hospital delivered on February 1, China Telecom will also provide comprehensive communication guarantee and information construction for Leishenshan Hospital, and plans to deliver it on February 5. At present, 4G, 5G and optical fiber coverage of Leishenshan Hospital have been opened, which can meet the communication needs of 15,000 people. Two 1G cloud dedicated lines, health dedicated network, medical insurance line, 10G Internet bandwidth, more than 1,000 fixed telephones, etc. have entered the delivery stage.

In addition, through the deployment of 5G networks, on January 26, based on China Telecom Sichuan's 5G dual-gigabit network, the Sichuan Provincial Health Commission organized the West China Hospital of Sichuan University and the Chengdu Public Health Clinical Medical Center to successfully complete a remote consultation for two patients with severe pneumonia caused by the new coronavirus. With West China Hospital as the center, it covers 27 designated hospitals across the province and has multiple access methods such as large-screen TVs and mobile terminals.

On the morning of January 30, Jinhua Central Hospital officially launched a cloud consultation system based on 5G communications, and successfully completed remote consultations for two critically ill patients with pneumonia infected with the new coronavirus.
