On December 5, 2019, the "To the Classic, Create the Future - New Era Hypertension Prevention and Control Management Seminar" co-organized by the People's Daily Health Times and the China Hypertension Alliance and co-organized by Omron Healthcare (China) Co., Ltd. was grandly held in the New Media Building of the People's Daily in Beijing. Professor-level experts from the field of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease prevention and research and nearly 200 guests from the medical and health industry across the country gathered together to summarize and review past successful experiences and jointly witness the official launch of the "iHEC Intelligent Hypertension Diagnosis and Treatment Center" project, a hypertension smart management solution in the Internet + era. Through in-depth discussions on innovative paths for future hypertension prevention and control, the future direction of hypertension management in China was pointed out, helping to accelerate the realization of a healthy China.

The Intelligent Hypertension Diagnosis and Treatment Center was officially launched to promote the intelligent, standardized and regular management of hypertension

At the meeting, former Vice Minister of Health Yin Dakui, Deputy Director of the Disease Control and Prevention Bureau of the National Health Commission Lei Zhenglong, Director of the Medical Device Department of the Drug Evaluation Center of the State Food and Drug Administration Dong Fang, Editor-in-Chief of People's Daily Health Times Meng Xianli, and Director/General Manager of Omron Healthcare (China) Co., Ltd. Zhao Yao delivered speeches in succession, and called on every member of the medical and health industry to actively participate in the prevention and treatment of hypertension and contribute greater efforts in the field of hypertension prevention and treatment.

The 2018 revised version of the "Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Hypertension in China" shows that the awareness rate, treatment rate, and control rate of hypertension in my country are only 51.6%, 45.8%, and 16.8%, respectively. The management level of hypertension in hospitals at all levels in various regions is also uneven. In order to effectively improve the "three rates" and promote the standardized and intelligent management of hypertension in China, the "Intelligent Hypertension Diagnosis and Treatment Center Project" was officially launched at the meeting.

It is reported that since January 2019, the China Hypertension Alliance and the Shanghai Institute of Hypertension have jointly launched the initiative of "iHEC Intelligent Hypertension Diagnosis and Treatment Center" nationwide. As of November 29, 2019, "iHEC Intelligent Hypertension Diagnosis and Treatment Center" has been implemented in 22 cities across the country, and a total of 179 hospitals have joined the project construction of the intelligent hypertension diagnosis and treatment center. With the official launch of the "iHEC Intelligent Hypertension Diagnosis and Treatment Center" project, in the future, the iHEC system of intelligent hypertension management will be implemented in more cities across the country, comprehensively improving the awareness, treatment and control rates of hypertension patients in my country.

Wisdom and experience empower the comprehensive promotion of hypertension management level in China

As the founder and leader of China's first chronic disease prevention and control network - the Shougang Model, Professor Liu Lisheng, former president of the World Hypertension League and former president of the China Hypertension League, traced the roots for the guests at the conference and shared the arduous journey and outstanding achievements of China's hypertension prevention and control over the past half century; Professor Kong Lingzhi, former deputy director of the Disease Prevention and Control Bureau of the Ministry of Health and director of the Health Communication Branch of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, shared the achievements made by my country in public health strategies and practices for hypertension prevention and control; Wu Jing, director of the Chronic Disease Center of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, explained the value and significance of the Healthy China Action from the perspective of new strategies for chronic disease prevention and control in the new era.

Professor Wang Jiguang, Chairman of the China Hypertension Alliance, pointed out at the meeting that with the deployment of the Healthy China 2030 plan, the huge value of Internet + medical health is gradually being released, and China's hypertension prevention and treatment has entered a new era of intelligent management of hypertension. According to reports, iHEC aims to establish a regional iHEC system across the country, using cutting-edge technologies such as the Internet, wireless transmission, and cloud computing to establish a professional technical platform and a team of professional talents that connects a variety of diagnosis, treatment, evaluation, classification equipment, and long-term follow-up management. As a new model of hypertension management for the whole society, the construction of iHEC will help achieve standardized, normalized, and intelligent management of hypertension, so that more patients can truly benefit, benefit more people, and contribute to a healthy China and healthy blood pressure.

In October this year, we worked with Omron to build the first Omron Intelligent Health Experience Store in China and set up a special intelligent hypertension management area, allowing customers to enter their blood pressure measurement data directly into the iHEC platform by swiping their ID card or medical insurance card, so that doctors can understand the patient's data in a timely manner, so as to carry out more accurate diagnosis and treatment and scientific management in the future."

The "Healthy China 2030" planning outline proposes to strive to increase the awareness rate, treatment awareness rate and control rate of hypertension to 70%, 99% and 50% respectively by 2030.
