Secada releases the latest 2017 global Chinese PC antivirus software detection and killing capability evaluation report

Recently, the internationally renowned third-party evaluation and certification organization, Secodal Laboratory, released a global Chinese PC antivirus software detection and killing capability comparison report for September/October 2017. This comparison still follows the strict testing methods of Secodal Laboratory, using Windows 10 Simplified Chinese version (64-bit) as the test platform, and using a total of 10,000 common virus samples in China. The laboratory built and simulated the real computer usage environment of Chinese users, and the test prototype was installed with more than 16 software commonly used by Chinese users. The 15 antivirus software tested were all the public versions downloaded from the official website of the manufacturer. This test project is divided into two categories: "static scanning" and "dynamic testing".

Static Scan

In this static scanning test, Rising Antivirus V17 and Tencent Computer Manager ranked first with 99.95% detection rate. Symantec Norton Security and Bitdefender Internet Security 2018 ranked second and third with 99.28% and 99.17% detection rates respectively. The detection rate of Avast Free Antivirus Software in this test was also above 99%.

Dynamic testing

In the dynamic test, Rising Antivirus V17 and Tencent Computer Manager still performed in the lead, ranking first with a detection rate of 99.94%. Symantec Norton Security ranked second with a detection rate of 99.02%. Kaspersky Internet Security and Bitdefender Internet Security 2018 ranked third and fourth with detection rates of 98.89% and 98.88% respectively.
