80% of the country's fiber optic access 100M broadband can't open web pages

According to the Beijing Evening News, Mr. Wang, who lives in Yizhuang, reported that the 100M fiber-optic broadband in his community would suddenly fail to open ordinary web pages, or inexplicably disconnect while playing games. There have also been cases where voice chats on WeChat were suddenly disconnected.

Mr. Wang showed several online speed measurement values. When using the China Telecom speed test website, the fastest tested bandwidth was only 26 megabits, which is only a quarter of the 100 megabit rate.

In this regard, a telecom expert said that some operators will calculate an online ratio and choose how many users to allocate based on this. "Generally, small operators often offer extremely low prices to attract more customers in order to grab more business, and then allocate more users regardless of the online ratio, resulting in insufficient bandwidth."
