China's 4G is a global sensation! Two figures tell the whole story

The press conference on the major project "New Generation Broadband Wireless Mobile Communication Network" disclosed that the total number of 4G users in my country has reached 734 million, the total number of 4G base stations has reached 2.498 million, and my country has fully built the world's largest 4G network.

According to data disclosed by the operators themselves, as of the end of November 2016, the number of 4G users of China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom were 510 million, 117 million and 99 million respectively.

The development of mobile communications in my country has achieved a leap from "following 2G", "breaking through 3G" to "synchronizing with 4G". 4G has not only achieved industrialization and global-scale commercial use, but the industry's R&D capabilities have also been significantly enhanced, and a complete industrial chain of 4G systems, terminals, chips, instruments, etc. has been formed.

In the next step, my country will strive to promote the formation of a global unified 5G standard, basically complete the research and development of 5G chips, terminals, and system equipment, and officially launch 5G commercial use in 2020.
