How powerful is WiFi7? Three times faster than WiFi6, as fast as lightning

Now the latest wireless routers on the market basically use WIFI6 technology. It is reported that a new generation of WiFi 7 technology will be launched in the future, with a theoretical rate of up to 30Gbps, which is about 3 times that of WIFI6!

Based on WIFI6, WiFi 7 will add new technologies such as 320MHz bandwidth, 4096-QAM, Multi-RU, etc. to provide a faster, more stable and higher-quality network experience.

Nowadays, 4k and 8K videos (transmission rates may reach 20Gbps), VR/AR, games (latency requirements are less than 5ms), remote work, online video conferencing, cloud computing, and smart home fields have increasingly higher requirements for WIFI technology.

As for the current WIFI6, it can actually meet the network requirements for 8K native video. However, considering the increasingly rapid development of current software applications and smart devices, it may not be able to fully meet the needs for some higher throughput and latency requirements. This may be why some manufacturers have proposed the concept of WiFi 7.

However, WIFI7 is still far away from us. To realize this technology, it needs to be fully popularized, whether the price of the router is affordable and whether everyone can afford it, whether it is supported by mainstream mobile phones and computers, etc. It is estimated that it will take quite a long time.

If you want a better network experience, you can give priority to WiFi 6 products when purchasing a router.
