The category covers 12 careers covering the hottest areas of technology around, including positions related to big data, data science, architecture and modeling, artificial intelligence and business intelligence.

The average annual income of employees is:

  • Big data engineer: $132,500 to $226,500 ($130,000 to $222,000 last year)
  • Data architect: $123,250 to $199,250 ($119,750 to $193,500 last year)

There are only 4 positions in this category, and the salaries are generally low.

Overall, the average annual salary for quality assurance and testing is:

  • Automation QA engineer: $74,500 to $124,500 (up from $74,250 to $124,000 last year)

Network and Telecommunications

This category actually goes beyond networking and telecom to encompass a lot of cloud-centric networking, including cloud architects, engineers, and more.
