Aruba Expands Instant On Portfolio to Support Business Continuity and Rapid Capability Expansion for SMBs

Recently, Aruba, a subsidiary of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, announced the expansion of the Aruba Instant On product lineup, adding a new switch series, which enables small businesses to deploy a unified high-speed network that is easy to set up, manage and maintain. Whether deployed as part of a business continuity strategy or as part of a network upgrade project, the new Aruba Instant On 1930 Series switches can be seamlessly integrated with existing Instant On indoor/outdoor access points (APs) and can also be centrally managed through the Instant On mobile application.

Whether with large multinational chains or small local businesses, customers have high expectations for seamless and secure network connections. This puts a lot of pressure on small businesses, as they often don’t have enough IT staff on staff to cope with network challenges. When unexpected crises hit, the situation becomes more complicated, such as the recent global COVID-19 pandemic, the change in social distance between people has fundamentally changed the way business operates. People’s primary form of communication has shifted from face-to-face communication to online communication, resulting in fluctuations in network demand. In order to survive in such an environment, grocery stores, restaurants and other life service industries everywhere have had to make major changes in their business models. According to SMB Group, "71% of small and medium-sized enterprises have already shifted their business activities from physical stores to online, and another 16% are planning to make such a shift."

“Aruba is addressing many of the key pain points of SMBs with the latest additions to its Instant On portfolio. The robust security and simple management that SMBs need delivers the ‘set it and forget it’ they expect,” said Norm Lillis, vice president of small business at CDW. “Especially during times of uncertainty like this, small organizations that provide essential services to their communities have more pressing priorities and are looking for IT solutions that support business and work continuity now and in the future.”

Like large organizations, small businesses are concerned about reliability, security, and infrastructure costs, but at the same time, they lack the staff to handle complex network management and network setup. In addition, the ever-changing business connectivity and performance requirements make operational simplicity a major consideration for small and medium-sized enterprises when choosing network solutions. To address these challenges, Aruba Instant On provides a unified management platform for all network services, a single architecture for switches and access points, and an innovative mobile application for easy setup, monitoring, and management of the entire network.

The new Aruba Instant On 1930 Series switches include:

oFlexible configurations with 8, 24 or 48 1G ports, supporting PoE and high-speed 10G connections

o All ports support enhanced PoE+ function to power a variety of IoT devices

o Flexible management model:

Cloud management via mobile app or web browser

Local Web GUI management

o Limited lifetime warranty for maximum investment protection

“Small businesses play a vital role in our communities, and for those that provide essential services, staying connected with customers is essential today,” said Amol Mitra, general manager and vice president, global small and medium business unit, Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company. “Aruba Instant On is a great choice for those who are looking for a simple, easy-to-use wireless networking solution that provides secure, high-performance, enterprise-class connectivity.”

Aruba Instant On 1930 series switches were officially launched in China on June 2. The 618 promotion season of JD flagship store is now open. From June 1 to 20, you can enjoy multiple discounts when you purchase Instant On series products.
