Huawei and Thailand's True Group sign 5G MoU, making the first 5G international video call between China and Thailand a reality

Recently, Huawei and Thai operator TrueMove H (hereinafter referred to as True) signed the "5G Enabling Digital Life Transformation - 5G Leadership Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)" in Chengdu. Vichaow Rakphongphairoj, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of True Group, and Ding Yun, President of Huawei's Operator BG, attended the ceremony. The two parties will jointly promote business innovation and the deployment of 5G in Thailand.

True and Huawei have worked together to successfully test the first 5G international video call between China and Thailand. This 5G international video call, through the 5G network, achieved a 4K high-definition video and audio connection between Chengdu and the test site in Thanyaburi District, Pathum Thani Province, Thailand. It is a major breakthrough for True in 5G, demonstrating its leadership in the field of Asia-Pacific telecommunications technology and its pioneering role in 5G applications in Thailand.

This 5G international video call test was conducted by the True-Huawei team and used the HUAWEI Mate 20 X (5G) phone.
