In 2018, my country's cloud computing entered its second decade. The cloud computing of the three major operators standing in the national team also entered a new stage of development. China Unicom: Make cloud networking accessible in all directions and cover any scenario where demand arises In March this year, China Unicom released seven cloud-network integrated products for the domestic market, among which the four major products of cloud internet, cloud networking, cloud dedicated line and cloud broadband have all realized SDN. Among them, cloud networking products are the focus of its development. The so-called cloud networking is to achieve the connection between clouds. That is, using the backbone network of China Unicom Group to carry the A network, using SDN technology for hybrid cloud scenarios, including public cloud, private cloud and data center hosting, providing self-service, fast, flexible, on-demand solutions to solve the problem of multi-cloud interconnection in different environments. So what can cloud networking provide for enterprises? China Unicom's cloud networking products have five advantages:
In addition, Cloud Network has currently developed five scenario-based solutions: one-stop cloud access, multi-cloud networking, multi-cloud disaster recovery, DCI two locations and three centers, and enterprise nationwide networking. China Mobile: Established a complete system in the three layers of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS China Mobile has long been committed to the cloud-pipe-end strategy to form an overall solution. In the cloud, China Mobile has a large number of IDCs and cloud infrastructures, has established a big data analysis platform, and has developed a large number of solutions for various industries including education, medical care, Internet of Vehicles, e-government, etc. based on the cloud, IDC, and Internet infrastructure; in terms of network, there is a CDN network throughout the country, with high-quality Internet access capabilities and rich transmission carrying capacity; in terms of terminals, various industries have made in-depth layouts, including e-book bags, smart learning pens, smart medical care and Internet of Vehicles terminals in the education field. China Mobile is basically developing an internal private cloud to an external public cloud to provide services to the public. In 2007, it began to develop cloud computing research and development, and developed a series of cloud products with independent intellectual property rights. In 2011, it started the commercial deployment of internal private clouds. So far, the scale of China Mobile's private cloud has reached more than 30,000 servers, including China Mobile's internal business support, gateways and management information systems. Most applications have been migrated to private clouds. In 2014, China Mobile's public cloud platform, namely Mobile Cloud, was released, covering the three-layer system of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, with more than 18 categories and over 100 products, and also providing a large number of industry solutions. At the same time, based on the self-developed technology, we have won many awards in China, including the Science and Technology Progress Award from the Institute of Communications and the Institute of Electronics. We not only rely on self-developed technology, but also cooperate extensively with all sectors of society to build an overall mobile cloud ecosystem, including establishing a multi-cloud cooperation system with Huawei, Alibaba, and VMware to meet the needs of clouds at different levels. In addition, we are also actively building a cloud market ecosystem at the SaaS level, which can accelerate the introduction of applications in various industries and thus form a solution for various industries. After ten years of development, China Mobile has established a complete system at the three levels of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS. At the cloud IaaS level, China Mobile takes the route of open source + independent research and development, and can provide various products including cloud computing, cloud storage, cloud network and cloud security. There are two points worth mentioning here: one is in terms of elastic computing, through the Ironic module of OpenStack, physical machines can be managed dynamically on demand like virtual machines, which greatly promotes the maturity of the Ironic module. In particular, the network of physical machines can be connected to the virtualized network like a virtual machine, and storage can be mounted and unmounted on demand; the other is in Ceph, a distributed storage, especially the development of the leading Ceph ISCSI module, which greatly promotes the application scenario of Ceph for bare metal. At the PaaS level, with the strength of various professional companies and R&D centers within China Mobile, we can provide cloud database, big data, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and video services. For example: the big data platform provides big data capabilities including MPP, search engine, etc.; the OneNet Internet of Things platform provides massive connections, device management and data analysis to support various Internet of Things applications; the Jiutian artificial intelligence platform also supports mainstream open source artificial intelligence frameworks such as Tensorflow, Caffe, Manet, and provides intelligent language processing, image recognition and other artificial intelligence capabilities; Migu Company also provides self-developed video capabilities. All of the above are uniformly open to all sectors of society through the mobile cloud platform to support SaaS services in various industries. At the SaaS level, this year the focus will be on developing the mobile cloud market SaaS platform, which will gather high-quality SaaS applications and provide information solutions for various industries. It is understood that China Mobile will recruit high-quality SaaS applications from around the world through the Yunzhou plan, and plans to introduce 100 applications this year. China Telecom: Becoming the cloud operator that understands the Internet the most, and the Internet operator that understands the cloud the most China Telecom’s goal is to become the cloud operator that best understands the Internet and the Internet operator that best understands the cloud. In 2012, China Telecom officially started the professional operation of Tianyi Cloud. According to IDC's report on cloud computing market share in May this year: Tianyi Cloud has ranked among the top three in the industry, second only to Alibaba Cloud and Tencent Cloud. From the early days when there were only a few resource pools in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu, China Telecom has now achieved a 2+31 full coverage resource layout. Today, China Telecom has two ultra-large cloud resource pools in Inner Mongolia and Guizhou, with a planned area of 2,000 acres and a planned installed capacity of 2 million servers, providing a full range of cloud products and cloud products and solutions for Tianyi Cloud customers. At the same time, in order to meet the requirements of localized cloud resource deployment and nearby deployment for government and enterprise customers, China Telecom has deployed resources in 31 provinces and has achieved 75 cloud resource pools so far, which is the highest in China. Behind Tianyi Cloud is China Telecom's powerful brand and service capabilities. It not only provides local services, but also provides specialized services, providing a one-stop solution from consulting to migration to integration to services. It is understood that the government and enterprise customer market of China Telecom accounts for about 50% of China Telecom's revenue. For this purpose, a national VIP service team for government and enterprise customers has been established, with 60,000 exclusive account managers and 80,000 customer technical service personnel across the country, helping government and enterprise customers implement more than 200,000 cloud projects. In addition, strategic cooperation has been established with 236 cities in 31 provinces, 11 provincial government cloud platforms, more than 60 government service projects, more than 1,000 co-built smart cities, more than 100 city-level government cloud platforms, and Internet + government services participate in the formulation of national standards. China Telecom is promoting the three transformations: network intelligence, business ecosystem, and operation intelligence. Tianyi Cloud is the core platform and core capability that supports the three transformations. China Telecom is also promoting the CTNet2025 plan for cloud-based and soft-based network reconstruction. Therefore, Tianyi Cloud is not only China Telecom's innovative basic business, but also a strategic basic business. I would like to end with what Hu Zhiqiang, General Manager of China Telecom Co., Ltd. Cloud Computing Branch, said at the China Cloud Computing Conference last week: China's cloud service market may also see two or three dominant players, but there must be a state-owned cloud. This is not only determined by China's national conditions, but also has a lot to do with the deepening of reforms, innovation of mechanisms, and increased research and development by state-owned enterprises. We hope that this state-owned cloud is China Telecom's Tianyi Cloud. |
