The inspiration of Neusoft's Internet of Vehicles security

Neusoft Network Security, which has been working in the field of network security for a long time, has been exploring the best opportunity to integrate with business in recent years. Last year, it initiated the establishment of the first Internet of Vehicles Security Alliance in China. More than a year has passed. How is the progress of Neusoft's Internet of Vehicles Security Project? At the just-concluded Neusoft 2017 Solution Forum, Neusoft Automotive Electronics and Internet of Vehicles Security became eye-catching topics.

Dr. Wang Nan, Senior Vice President and Secretary of the Board of Directors of Neusoft Group, told reporters that Neusoft has carried out extensive cooperation with many international automobile manufacturers in addition to domestic manufacturers in the field of smart cars and interconnection. As a senior member of the Global Automobile Club, Neusoft started early in the field of automotive electronics. At present, it has established R&D centers in Europe, the United States, Japan and other countries and regions, with a team of more than 3,000 professional engineers. In recent years, it has accumulated solid technology in the fields of battery management control software, vehicle data cloud management and in-vehicle interconnection. Since entering this market, it has quickly entered the international front line. In terms of intelligent driving, Neusoft has upgraded two generations of mass-produced products from Level 0 to Level 2 in combination with V2X technology, and is working on the third generation of commercial mass-produced products, reaching the Level 3 level. Level 4 and Level 5 autonomous driving, as a technical reserve, have been openly tested in the Neusoft Software Park. In addition, Neusoft has also participated in the formulation of a number of relevant standards.

"The combination of security and business is an important direction for Neusoft," said Yang Jiwen, general manager of Neusoft Group's Network Security Division. In 2015, Neusoft Group President Wang Yongfeng personally initiated the Internet of Vehicles security project and selected a group of professionals from Neusoft's automotive electronics and security departments to form an Internet of Vehicles security laboratory, which specializes in the integration of security and business and proposes a complete technical route, including a three-in-one comprehensive technical solution combining "pipe-end-cloud". Because the requirements of vehicle regulations are very strict, there is only 4k space left for the development of the program. We actually use this 4k transmission space to implement the technical architecture, box bus to the final V2X, and have invested a lot of manpower and financial resources for this. Compared with other companies in the field of domestic information security, Neusoft has won the recognition and trust of car manufacturers because of its comprehensive technical strength and advantageous position in the field of global automotive electronics. We can organically combine automotive electronics and security because we understand vehicle regulations better, can better deploy security, and more effectively implement these aspects, which are difficult for other manufacturers to do.

Last year, Neusoft took the lead in establishing the Internet of Vehicles Security Alliance. Recently, Bank of China, Financial Card Evaluation Center, etc. have also actively joined. The establishment of the alliance has promoted the establishment of national standards for vehicle safety. Neusoft and University of Electronic Science and Technology of China are the drafting units, and it will probably be released this year. Neusoft has also participated in the formulation of relevant international standards such as the United Nations World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations (WP.29). In the future, chips will be integrated into it to ensure vehicle driving safety through dual insurance of software and hardware. The relevant standard WP.29 is being worked on. In terms of products, in addition to the above, many domestic and foreign brand manufacturers are negotiating with Neusoft, and the number of orders has reached one million, of which 100,000 orders from a single company.

Yang Jiwen said that the security of Internet of Vehicles is most consistent with the concept of "Internet +". Internet of Vehicles security is a huge market and a major development direction, and the prospects are very promising. In the future, more companies will participate in it to form a good security ecological chain. Now we are working on case models, and there will be multi-dimensional work to be done in the future, such as standards, testing and evaluation.

Today, Yang Jiwen's work focuses on the combination of security and business, not only with Neusoft's own business, but also with other application businesses. He believes that all devices sold by Neusoft in the future will be equipped with security software. At Neusoft, network security is the most product-oriented business. Like other domestic security vendors, there is too much investment in the product level, and it is urgent to truly meet customer needs, which is exactly where Neusoft's advantage lies. In this sense, Neusoft's breakthrough in the Internet of Vehicles has a special inspirational significance.
