DirectAdmin changes the authorized IP

DirectAdmin changes the authorized IP

Recently, a VPS host changed its IP, and a DA panel (DirectAdmin) happened to be installed on it. After changing the IP, the authorization needed to be updated. I tried it and found that the key authorization was a little different from the previous command. Searching online showed the same operation as before, so I recorded it so that I don’t have to search for it next time I need it.

I just changed the IP, the operating system is still the same CentOS7.9 64bit. Because the entire VPS was migrated to the new IP, there is no data problem.

First update the IP on the server

 # cd /usr/local/directadmin/scripts
#./ipswap.sh Old IP New IP

All search engines say that after doing the above, I still cannot access the panel. In fact, I can access it after the data migration is completed (it may also be because my key was updated last time I authorized it)

If there is a problem, you can update the authorization information.

 # cd /usr/local/directadmin/scripts
# ./getLicense.sh (key)

After completion, restart DA

 systemctl restart directadmin.service

There are probably not many people using DA panel nowadays, but this panel was quite popular many years ago. It was very convenient to buy a permanent license for more than 300 yuan and install it on a VPS to build a website. I still have 4 licenses that I bought from Sailfish Network in 2012. I have to give it a thumbs up. After more than 10 years, I can still find someone to replace the license at any time!
