Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: More than 1,800 "5G + Industrial Internet" projects are being built nationwide

New models and new business forms such as platform design, intelligent manufacturing, networked collaboration, personalized customization, service extension, and digital management are accelerating their extension to 40 major categories of the national economy. It is reported that the next step of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will focus on deepening and expanding industrial 5G applications, empowering the digitalization, networking, and intelligent transformation and upgrading of the real economy, and coordinate the "three persistences and three promotions", including adhering to the industry as the basis, promoting deep innovation in applications, and enhancing the supply of networks, technologies, and products. Adhere to integration first, promote the expansion of application breadth, and strengthen demonstration and replication and promotion. The development of 5G and the industrial Internet has strongly supported the digitalization, networking, and intelligent transformation and upgrading of the real economy, and the construction of related new infrastructure has laid a solid foundation for the digital economy. Han Xia, chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said on the same day that there are currently more than 1 million 5G base stations, and new key network technologies such as end-to-end network slicing have been accelerated, and the world's largest 5G independent networking network has been built. The average daily resolution volume of the national top-level nodes of the industrial Internet identification resolution system has exceeded 40 million times, and the number of secondary nodes has reached 156, covering 25 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government). There are more than 100 industrial Internet platforms with a certain influence. The "national-provincial-enterprise" three-level collaborative industrial Internet security situation awareness system has been initially established, and the dynamic monitoring and emergency response capabilities have been significantly enhanced.

In terms of expanding integrated applications, there are more than 10,000 5G application innovation cases, with industries such as industry, media, medical care, and education leading the development. More than 1,800 "5G+Industrial Internet" projects are being built across the country. At the same time, the vitality of various localities has been fully stimulated, and 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) have issued policies related to 5G and the Industrial Internet, accelerating the development trend of a national chess game.
