Accelerating industry integration and cooperation to help 5G smart healthcare take off

The meeting was chaired by Lu Qingjun, head of the National Health Commission's Hospital 5G Network Construction Standards Group, Director of the Development Department of the China-Japan Friendship Hospital, and Director of the National Telemedicine and Internet Medicine Center. Wang Tianguang pointed out that ten ministries and commissions issued the "Set Sail" action plan for 5G applications. The Shanghai Municipal Communications Administration actively guided basic telecommunications companies to accelerate 5G network coverage and comprehensively strengthen cross-border integration with vertical industry partners to give birth to more benchmark applications and carry out "5G+ Smart Medical Application Pilot" in the medical industry to accumulate industry symbiosis for Shanghai to create a 5G smart medical model and the development of the 5G industry.

Zhang Wenlin pointed out that the construction of 5G medical networks has made great progress. 5G networks have evolved from medical private networks to dual-use virtual private networks, and 5G medical applications are also developing rapidly. Huawei has always worked in-depth with industry authorities and operators to promote cooperation across the entire industry chain, from hospitals to operators to application partners, terminals, and integration partners. The 5GtoB large industry environment has entered the stage of deepening the development of industry integration applications. In the medical industry, the next step is to expand the scope, including close cooperation with industry integrators, operators, service providers, and medical service innovation institutions, especially industry integration cooperation, strive to meet the digital transformation needs of medical institutions at all levels, and accelerate the implementation of applications through industry chain collaboration. Promoting cooperation between industry integration partners has become an important link in the development of the 5G medical industry chain. Lu Qingjun pointed out: The country supports the advancement of 5G medical standards, and the entire industry has reached a consensus. Since the National Health Commission established the "Standard Research on the Application of 5G Technology in the Medical and Health Industry" project led by the China-Japan Friendship Hospital in August 2020, 5G medical standards have been of great significance for supporting the infrastructure of smart hospitals and enriching the application scenarios of 5G technology in the medical and health industry. Medical standards have moved from group standards to industry standards, and then to the implementation of deep-level medical applications, and have entered the stage of industry promotion from the stage of standard construction. From hospitals to patients, we must share this 5G network well. The promotion of 5G medical access gateways, smart medical equipment and other products and solutions and the industry integrated cooperation ecosystem has become the focus of the current stage.

In order to promote the integration and application of 5G technology and the medical industry and promote the implementation of 5G medical industry solutions, Shanghai Mobile, Huawei, and Yinjiang Zhier signed a tripartite cooperation agreement during this event to jointly promote the development of 5G smart medical care in Shanghai, build a benchmark city for 5G smart medical applications, and help to provide inclusive social and livelihood services. At the same time, Huawei signed 5G smart medical system integration partner cooperation agreements with Yinjiang Co., Ltd., Runyi Technology, and Chuangye Huikang, aiming to jointly promote the development of the industrial chain and application promotion, and promote the implementation of 5G+ medical commercial applications.
