Kunpeng spreads its wings and Zhejiang has great potential. The briefing session of Kunpeng Application Innovation Competition 2020 (Zhejiang Division) was a complete success!

On the afternoon of July 31, 2020, the Kunpeng Application Innovation Competition 2020 (Zhejiang Division) briefing session was held at the Zhejiang Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center. The meeting was guided by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, hosted by the Zhejiang Digital Economy Development Center, Hangzhou High-tech Zone (Binjiang) Management Committee, the government, the Ningbo National High-tech Zone Management Committee, the Zhejiang Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center, and the Ningbo Kunpeng Computing Ecological Innovation Center, and co-organized by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Donghua Electronic Information Industry (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Kunpeng Computing Industry Alliance, and Zhejiang Internet of Things Industry Association.

This innovation competition focuses on corporate practitioners, college teachers and students in Zhejiang Province's ICT industry, and has set up five competition topics: "Finance", "Government", "Big Data", "ARM Native Application" and "Open Proposition". In addition, in order to encourage everyone's active participation, the total amount of award incentives for the competition is as high as 700,000. It is hoped that this competition will stimulate industry innovation, promote talent training, accelerate industrial integration, and attract developers from the entire industry to jointly create Kunpeng full-stack solutions and realize innovative applications of technology and business.

Liu Jiayi, Marketing Manager of Zhejiang Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center, gave a detailed introduction to the competition rules and specific registration guidelines at the meeting; Sun Xiuyan, Ecological Director of Zhejiang Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center, gave a detailed interpretation of the Kunpeng certification process at the meeting and introduced the current status of the Kunpeng ecosystem; Zhong Qihong, Technical Director of Zhejiang Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center, gave a wonderful sharing at the meeting on the operating principles of Kunpeng software programs, the background and necessity of software migration, the software migration process, as well as the ideas for performance tuning and commonly used performance collection tools in the project; Du Hongliang, CTO of Huawei Cloud and Computing Business Department and COO of Zhejiang Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center, gave a detailed analysis and introduction of the Kunpeng ecosystem at the meeting.

According to reports, Kunpeng R&D centers have been deployed in various innovation highlands around the world, building end-to-end industry competitiveness. 16 Kunpeng ecological innovation centers have also been deployed in China to accelerate the implementation of regional industries. Kunpeng and Ascend have been deployed on a large scale for operators, finance, electricity and other industries related to national economy and people's livelihood. At present, various provinces are also actively seizing new opportunities for the development of Kunpeng computing industry to drive the development of local digital economy.

It is understood that the Zhejiang Provincial Government and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. have signed a deepening strategic cooperation agreement, actively promoting the construction of the Kunpeng industry ecosystem in Zhejiang Province. Zhejiang has also established the Zhejiang Kunpeng Computing Industry Alliance, which currently has 115 member units; and has built three innovation centers in Hangzhou, Ningbo, and Tongxiang. Huawei has also cooperated with many companies to carry out research and development and production based on Kunpeng servers, PCs, industrial computers, etc. The relevant products have completed prototype design and will gradually be put on the market.

In addition, the Zhejiang Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center will also give full play to the advantages of industry-university-research cooperation, and will be operated professionally by Zhejiang universities. It will attract Kunpeng ecological, 5G-related software and hardware companies, innovation institutions, talent training and certification institutions and other Kunpeng software and hardware ecological enterprises; and strive to build a certification platform for Zhejiang Province's information application innovation and domestic solutions for various industries, an innovation and standard incubation platform, an achievement display platform and a professional training platform. It can be seen that in the future, Zhejiang will build a public service platform for the domestic information innovation ecology of the province and even the whole country, and help the growth and expansion of the Kunpeng ecological system.
