Riverbed officially releases SaaS solutions for on- and off-cloud

The hottest word in the technology field in 2016 is undoubtedly digital transformation. Although this word comes from abroad, it is a bit like a flower blooming inside the wall and fragrant outside the wall. Foreign large Internet companies are ready to deploy 100G port equipment, while domestic Internet companies are ready to deploy 25G port equipment. There is still a gap, but it does not affect everyone's hot discussion on digital transformation. Perhaps it is necessary to prepare and plan in advance. Digital transformation can have a positive impact on all aspects of the enterprise - such as increasing revenue, improving efficiency, saving costs, improving security and compliance, etc. However, many enterprises seem to ignore the huge requirements that digital transformation and cloud-first initiatives put on the network.

Recently, Zhang Xiaohe, technical director of Riverbed Greater China, shared Riverbed's preparations in this regard and launched the Riverbed SteelCentral Application Performance Command Center to further expand its comprehensive performance monitoring and management solutions and address the blind spots of enterprises in managing emerging mobile and cloud technologies. To meet these needs, Riverbed launched the SteelCentral SaaS solution to provide cloud performance management. At the same time, using SteelCentral Aternity, the monitoring function is extended to any terminal device.

According to IDC's forecast: By 2017, 60% of digital transformation initiatives will fail to scale due to lack of strategic architecture; and by 2018, 70% of digital transformation initiatives that are carried out independently will fail due to lack of collaboration, integration, procurement or project management.

Enterprises will realize that in order to achieve the best synergy of applications, computing, storage and network infrastructure, all departments must work together, seamlessly connect and form a community of shared destiny. Zhang Xiaohe also pointed out that the digital transformation is timely, and the core of digital transformation is application and service. The Chinese market has greatly accelerated the digital transformation process with the help of major initiatives such as "Made in China 2025" and "Internet +".

Realizing digital transformation requires a new conception of network and application infrastructure, an enterprise-wide strategic architecture that integrates all components to form a seamless, software-defined system that delivers high-performance applications, data, and services. "SteelCentral is built for cloud, hybrid networks, and digital environments," said Zhang Xiaohe.

Traditional application performance monitoring solutions are unable to meet the needs of both on- and off-cloud. Riverbed SteelCentral can help enterprises take advantage of disruptive technologies such as cloud and mobile while eliminating key blind spots and helping enterprises proactively manage the overall end-to-end performance of their critical applications.
