H3C: Using Converged Network Technology to Support Digital Transformation of All-Scenario Services in Smart Hospitals

Hospitals are the core of protecting the health and well-being of the people. Continuously improving hospital operating efficiency and improving diagnosis and treatment experience through digital technology has become one of the people's livelihood focuses that the whole society is paying attention to.

Like all industries, the creation of smart hospitals requires a strong network foundation. Zhirong's all-optical solution perfectly adapts to the network requirements of all medical scenarios

Hospitals are typically characterized by a large number of personnel, equipment, services, and scenarios. The rapid growth of digital services represented by medical imaging and electronic medical records and a large number of medical devices has overwhelmed the original network architecture of hospitals, which can easily cause local network congestion and affect the diagnosis and treatment experience and hospital operation efficiency. With its higher bandwidth, large Layer 2 network, easy operation and expansion, ultra-long transmission, and green and low-carbon advantages, all-optical networks have gradually become the first choice for network construction in the medical industry. At this exhibition, H3C Group fully demonstrated its intelligent all-optical campus network solution. The solution is centered on the fusion technology route of "Ethernet + PON", and innovatively launched optical hosts that undertake aggregation functions and optical terminals responsible for access. With simple networking, long optical transmission distance, optoelectronic hybrid wiring, and POE functions, it is perfectly adapted to various application scenarios in hospitals.

●Outpatient Hall : The Zhirong all-optical solution fully utilizes the characteristics of long optical fiber signal transmission distance and few networking equipment. Through a minimalist network structure, it uses an innovative combination of optical-electrical hybrid cables and terminal access switches to achieve rapid access to various terminals, and the network reliability is doubled to meet the networking needs of various self-service terminals and a large number of payment PCs.

● Medical imaging center: A single scan of medical imaging equipment such as CT and PET can generate several GB of data, and traditional networks require a lot of time to upload data. The Zhirong all-optical solution can give full play to the high bandwidth advantage of the all-optical network, greatly shorten the data upload time, and accelerate the operation efficiency of the hospital.

● Smart ward : In the face of a large number of medical equipment terminals, traditional solutions can only use multiple networks to carry them separately. The Zhirong all-optical solution only needs two links to carry all intranet and extranet applications respectively, and provides intranet services for various medical IoT devices and extranet services for personnel's smart devices in the form of virtual APs. In addition, through Ethernet QoS quality management based on SDN technology, hospitals can also provide the highest traffic priority for various key businesses on the premise of carrying all businesses on one network, ensuring timely and effective treatment response.

5G+Wi-Fi+IoT multi-network integration to build wireless intelligent interconnection

Driven by policies and market demands, "5G+" has become one of the main directions for the construction of future medical wireless networks. Faced with the access and management needs of a wide variety of medical terminals and IoT devices with different protocols, how to use the most simplified network architecture and realize the interconnection of device data through multi-network integration technology, so that various cloud-native applications can smoothly reach various business lines and improve operating efficiency, has become a problem that hospitals have to face in their digital transformation.

The "5G+Wi-Fi+IoT multi-network converged business system" demonstrated by H3C Group this time truly realizes the integration of three networks and unified management of medical networks. The system uses the 5G CPE converged IoT gateway as the data bus to establish a fully covered converged network, and realizes data transmission and sharing of hospital business terminals through 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and RFID. Relying on the Oasis IoT platform and AC equipment, the system uniformly manages 5G CPE equipment, Wi-Fi6 wireless networks, and IoT IoT, realizing the integrated coordination and linkage of people, equipment, and instruments, meeting the requirements of early detection and quick disposal of events, archiving, and loss reduction. At present, H3C Group's 5G+Wi-Fi+IoT multi-network converged business solution has been implemented in Ningbo First Hospital, and has successfully passed the interconnection and interoperability level 5B evaluation organized by the National Health Statistics and Information Center, and has been widely praised by customers.
