Huawei hosted the "Network-based Intelligent Manufacturing for the Future" Advanced Industrial Network Forum

On September 16, during the China Industrial Internet Conference and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Digital Economy Conference held in Guangzhou, the "Network-Strengthening Foundation, Intelligent Manufacturing for the Future" Advanced Industrial Network Forum (hereinafter referred to as the Forum) hosted by Huawei was successfully held. The forum was guided by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Economics and Information Technology and the Industrial Internet Industry Alliance, hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Industrial Internet Industry Alliance, and hosted by Huawei. More than 120 guests from industry experts, media and local corporate customers from all over the country attended the forum. Zhan Ruolan, the second-level inspector of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, attended the forum and delivered a speech. Huawei also discussed the development trends and directions of the industrial Internet with industry thought leaders, technology experts, and pioneering companies, and shared practical results and experiences in digital transformation, industrial Internet, and smart manufacturing factories, aiming to build an open and win-win healthy ecosystem and accelerate the innovative development of the industrial Internet.

Zhan Ruolan, second-level inspector of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, said in her speech at the forum, "Industry is the top priority for Guangdong's development. In the era of digital economy, using new technologies such as 5G, industrial Internet, and artificial intelligence to accelerate the transformation, upgrading and integrated development of industry and other real economies requires the gathering of upstream and downstream industries to form a joint force."

Wang Chenxi, vice president of Huawei's data communication product line, pointed out in his speech, "At present, industrial enterprises are still facing the problems of low degree of networking and large amount of data accumulation. Building an advanced industrial network will enhance the networking capability and level of equipment, enable seamless flow of data, and accelerate the digital and intelligent transformation and upgrading of industrial enterprises. Huawei is willing to leverage its technological advantages, uphold the spirit of openness and cooperation, and work closely with industry partners to jointly create more new benchmarks for industrial Internet innovation demonstration."

Mr. Wang Hongling, Deputy Director of the Guangzhou Branch of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Chairman and Secretary-General of the Guangdong Industrial Internet Industry Alliance, delivered a keynote speech at the forum. He believes that "the development of China's industrial Internet network has entered a critical period. IP-based, flat, wireless, and flexible enterprise intranets are the difficulties and key points of construction at this stage. We must comprehensively use multiple technologies to integrate and develop collaboratively, realize the network interconnection of dumb devices, and make dumb devices 'come alive'."

At the forum, Huawei and China Academy of Information and Communications Technology jointly released the "White Paper on Industrial Equipment Connectivity Technology and Practice" with industry partners. Huawei's data communication product line and the IT Department of the General Manager's Office of GAC Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. signed an Industrial Internet Innovation Cooperation Agreement.

The forum's special guest, Mr. Che Haiping, Senior Vice President of Huawei and Chief Strategy Officer of Digital Transformation, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Co-building New Infrastructure for Manufacturing and Co-creating New Value for Transformation". Combining Huawei's own practices, he proposed that the digitization of industry knowledge requires the co-construction of new infrastructure for manufacturing, the promotion of intelligent industrial equipment, IP-based industrial networks, cloud-based industrial software, and the value of industrial data in order to achieve the value upgrade of the Industrial Internet.

Mr. Yang Shazhou, associate researcher at Pengcheng Laboratory, shared with the industry the research and application progress of advanced technologies such as open intelligent industrial control systems, embedded virtualization, and deterministic networks in his keynote speech on "Application of Embedded Virtualization in Industrial Cloud Intelligent Control Systems". He believes that the integration and isolation of computing, communication, and control in industrial control sites, and the requirements for real-time virtualization and deterministic IP networks, require the industry to work together to make breakthroughs.

Tang Xinbing, CTO of Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Building Advanced Industrial Networks and Accelerating Digital Transformation". He emphasized that "adopting open IP network protocols, building advanced industrial networks, breaking through data silos, accelerating data flow, and promoting the digital transformation and development of the manufacturing industry."

Dr. Zhong Yaoying, senior manufacturing expert at Huawei, and Dr. Wang Jun, chief architect of the Industrial Internet at Midea Group, respectively shared Huawei and Midea’s practices in smart manufacturing, digital factories, and the Industrial Internet.
