"5G IoT, Smart Journey" - China Unicom IoT shines at 2020 Beijing Communications Exhibition

From October 14 to 16, the 2020 China International Information and Communication Exhibition with the theme of "Network Integration of Everything, Smart Future" was grandly held at the Beijing National Convention Center. The exhibition specially set up a special exhibition area for the demonstration of mobile Internet of Things achievements to showcase the cutting-edge achievements of mobile Internet of Things. China Unicom Internet of Things, as an important participating enterprise, made a wonderful appearance at the conference, with the theme of "5G Internet of Things and Smart Journey", and set up 7 major Internet of Things planets such as the 5G+AIoT core capability planet, the smart city planet, and the industrial Internet planet in the Internet of Things Star, inviting guests to board the "Unicom 5G" spacecraft to unlock more than 30 Internet of Things black technologies and more than 40 Yanfei series industry terminals.

[5G+AIoT core capability planet, opening up a new world of intelligent interconnection of all things]

In the era of intelligent interconnection of all things, how can we become the leader of "AIoT" empowering thousands of industries in the era of 5G new infrastructure? The 5G+AIoT core capability planet uses a 90-degree folding large screen to bring visitors a different time-travel experience. China Unicom IoT focuses on key industry fields, starting from "cloud network terminal edge industry", and strives to build connection management, equipment management and industry terminal capabilities to enable industry transformation. At present, it has joined hands with more than 300 national lighthouse customers to jointly develop a new 5G industry ecology. Among them, in terms of connection management, China Unicom IoT has the world's largest single connection management platform, carrying 228 million connections.

In terms of device management, based on the virtualization host and edge computing capabilities of Xinwo Cloud, combined with AI, big data and other capabilities, we build a general device management capability that includes device access, universal object model, device management, and rule engine, enabling intelligent management of equipment in key industries such as smart cities, industrial Internet, and trusted supply chains, and realizing an upgrade from perception to cognition.

At the terminal level, we have created the brand identity of China Unicom's IoT independent capability terminal - Yanfei, based on the hardwareization of software and the chipization of hardware. Through Yanfei's self-developed terminals and ecological industry terminals, we have built the IoT software and hardware integration capabilities. We have successfully created 11 self-developed 5G industry terminals and over 100 ecological products.

[5G Smart City Planet, creating a new benchmark for smart cities]

In the Smart City Planet exhibition area, everything from water meter reading, smart manhole covers, independent smoke detectors and other urban infrastructure management that are closely related to life to smart site management and smart control of parks in urban construction are presented here. In the new 5G infrastructure boom, how to improve the "digitalization" level of cities and make the city's "brain" smarter has become the current development path for the construction of new smart cities.

China Unicom IoT integrates the IoT perception platform and the city brain platform to build a 5G new smart city perception cloud, solving the standardization of bottom-level terminals, the normalization of middle-level data and the sharing of top-level applications, and creating personalized new smart city services for city managers, enterprises and residents. It focuses on the smart city market in districts and counties, and promotes it nationwide in a service-oriented model. It has been put into practice in Nanjing South New Town, building 17 smart applications on a 9.8 square kilometer site, covering 45 categories and more than 20,000 smart sensors.

[5G Industrial Internet Planet, empowering manufacturing companies to digitize]

A series of questions about industrial production, such as how to intelligently manage industrial equipment, how to supervise equipment health, how to improve product quality and efficiency, and how to control energy consumption, can be answered at the Industrial Internet Planet booth.

In particular, AI industrial machine vision inspection products integrate machine vision with the Internet of Things and edge computing, use equipment management to achieve edge collaboration, and realize the linkage between quality inspection data and production equipment status data, helping industrial enterprises to improve product quality inspection efficiency and accuracy and reduce labor costs. This product has been successfully applied to the bearing quality inspection of a bearing manufacturing company, achieving a missed detection rate of less than 0.08%, and a five-fold increase in quality inspection efficiency. Each device can replace 5 manual workers.

In addition, 5G industrial remote maintenance guidance AR glasses have also attracted the attention of many companies. This AR glasses uses voice combined with head movement operation, and through the intelligent human-machine interface, it frees the operator's hands, connects the industrial site situation with the cloud and the control end, and solves the needs of industrial inspection, remote expert assistance, industrial process management, etc., with a full sense of immersion.

[5G Industry Terminal Planet, Yanfei leads the new direction of terminal products]

In the 5G Industry Terminal Planet exhibition area, the Yanfei industry terminal brand logo series products created by China Unicom IoT were unveiled, leading the new direction of 5G industry terminal products. Yanfei Cat.1 modules, Yanfei 5G communication modules, Yanfei 5G CPE and other self-developed products attracted terminal industry customers to stop and communicate. In particular, the Yanfei public network digital intercom PCBA kit product, which was just released in September, will provide one-stop "turnkey" product services such as PCBA, connection, public network intercom platform and reference design for public network intercom OEM manufacturers and brand customers.

In addition, more than ten businesses including cloud diagnosis vehicles, driving records, cold chain logistics, medical SPD, smart door locks, smart watches, greenhouse speakers, smart animal husbandry, etc. displayed in the 5G Transportation and Logistics Planet, 5G Epidemic Prevention and Control Planet, and 5G Smart Agriculture Planet exhibition areas, as well as driving recorders, cold chain temperature and humidity collection terminals, smart door magnets, face recognition temperature measurement terminals, agricultural drones, and smart collars, etc., more than 20 Yanfei smart terminals also attracted the attention of many visiting industry guests.

On the afternoon of the 14th, Li Kai, Chief Product Officer of China Unicom Internet of Things, attended the 5G+ Smart Energy Summit to be held by the China Smart Energy Industry Alliance, and jointly launched the "5G+ Smart Energy Innovation Center" ceremony with representatives of power grid groups, power generation groups, energy companies and other units.
