100G network service acceleration platform T1 GateWare is newly launched

T1GateWare is a network acceleration platform developed on a general x86 platform and launched for partners. It greatly accelerates various data plane network applications, such as network security and other applications that require high performance on Linux platforms. T1GateWare also comes with a complete multi-core development tool suite and an efficient L4/L7 layer protocol stack, helping partners to easily and quickly develop high-performance application systems and virtualized NFV deployment solutions.


At the press conference, Mr. Jiang Lei, R&D Director of Taiyixingchen, said that the rapid growth of network bandwidth and the increasingly widespread use of virtualization technology have put forward higher requirements on the processing capabilities of existing network equipment, and also made the iteration of product function requirements more rapid; at the same time, in order to adapt to virtualization scenarios, network function virtualization is also an inevitable trend. How to make traditional network equipment (such as network security products) adapt to virtualization scenarios brings great technical challenges to the product R&D team, which requires the R&D team to race against time pressure and launch various more efficient network products within a tight time.

In this context, T1GateWare can provide a dedicated network acceleration platform for the R&D teams of its partners, allowing them to focus more on the development of their own valuable applications, while leaving the underlying message processing and essential network protocol stack functional modules to the GateWare platform.

So, how is T1GateWare's high-performance architecture achieved?

Mr. Jiang Lei said: Network operating system + open source code + complete development kit, all functional modules of T1Gateware are implemented in user space, using multi-plane, intelligent diversion design and complete high-performance protocol stack;

Through a variety of combined technologies, T1Gateware has achieved line-speed processing of 100G small packets on the general X86 platform firewall, which is a major breakthrough in the industry.

Mr. Lin Hao, senior architect of Taiyixingchen, believes that "T1 Gateware is essentially an embedded operating system that takes full responsibility from hardware to operating system and then to application! Using this high-performance network service acceleration platform to complete network traffic processing can obtain an efficient and scalable traffic processing solution."

As a core component of T1 Gateware, the intelligent traffic splitter component achieves linear growth of CPU processing performance with the number of cores, both in terms of system architecture and service architecture;

The pipeline acceleration component of T1 GateWare decomposes the data processing process and abstracts it into independent functional nodes. The message adopts DPDK lock-free queue technology, which greatly improves the processing efficiency of the business.

The hardware resource intelligent adaptation component is a low-level data throughput tuning technology of T1GateWare for the current Intel full range of hardware platforms and network cards. It allows users' network applications to achieve network traffic throughput in the most efficient way regardless of the platform they are on;

T1 GateWare's virtualized resource adaptation technology enables network applications to migrate smoothly to virtualized NFV, achieving automated deployment and acceleration of NFV traffic.
