[Shanghai, China, September 23, 2020] During HUAWEI CONNECT 2020, Huawei Director and President of Enterprise BG Peng Zhongyang delivered a keynote speech entitled "Building a New Digital Paradigm and Creating New Industry Value". Peng Zhongyang said that the development of the future intelligent society urgently needs to build a new paradigm for the digital transformation of the industry. 2020 is an extraordinary year, a special intersection of technological explosion and industry transformation. Digital transformation is releasing huge value potential. Through the collaboration of the "five machines" of connectivity, cloud, computing, AI, and industry applications, digital technology is integrated into each business innovation scenario.

Huawei has digitized mining infrastructure and transformed more than 10 business scenarios in coal mines, realizing digital twins and promoting the digitalization and intelligence of all mine businesses.

Huawei has jointly built a film and television industry cloud platform with its customers and ecosystem partners to optimize the entire process of acquisition, editing, broadcasting, storage, and transmission of the "Malanshan" Video Cultural and Creative Industry Park, shortening its production cycle by 30% and reducing production costs by 20%.

Huawei started from practical scenarios and went to create the future. In 2018, Huawei's Dongguan Logistics Park underwent a half-year transformation and developed automated equipment and intelligent algorithms, which increased the per capita delivery efficiency of the logistics park by 67% and shortened the delivery cycle by 50%.

Peng Zhongyang concluded: "There are three key elements to achieve scene digitization. The first is 'having technology', which means being good at integrating multiple ICT technologies with core businesses. The second is 'understanding the industry', which means 'respecting the industry', having a deep insight into the industry, and understanding industry know-how. The last is 'real practice'. Scene digitization is not achieved by talking on paper, but by integrating knowledge and action, exploring and creating in practice."

Building a new digital paradigm

Building a digital future requires a digital ecosystem of symbiosis, co-creation and sharing.

The essence of business in the digital era is to make the pie bigger. It is a positive-sum game, not a zero-sum game. Huawei advocates building a "digital ecological cube" from three dimensions. Taking Shenzhen Smart Airport as an example, Huawei has joined hands with the industry's top solution partners to build a series of scenario-based solutions for flight business flows, aircraft stand allocation, ground support, etc. based on the collaboration of "5 machines", integrating terminal equipment, data governance, and industry applications. In 2019, the number of ferries was reduced by more than 2.6 million, and security inspection efficiency was improved by 60%, creating a future airport with high efficiency, safety, and excellent experience for customers.

Currently, Huawei has built and is promoting 100 scenario-based solutions, working with partners to create more new industry value.

Chen Jinzu, general manager of Shenzhen Airport (Group) Co., Ltd., said that Shenzhen Airport will continue to deepen its digital transformation in the future, take the lead in trials, and contribute more "Shenzhen wisdom" and "Shenzhen experience" to the construction of civil aviation smart airports.
